Know Your PR Agency: Cerebra Communications
Cerebra Communications is the first PR firm happy to participate, thank you to Kate Kearney (Account Manager) for taking the time to provide answers to my quiz…
As a first step in introducing the service to the PR industry (who’ll be supplying press releases), I’m running a weekly series to profile PR firms.

- Traditional media communication/PR (Print, Online, Broadcasting)
- Strategy (traditional PR and social media)
- ORM (Online Reputation Management)
- Content and Community
What sets your PR firm apart from the crowd?
Our reputable name as well as the fact that have the ability to think strategically across all platforms. We are an integrated agency which allows us to work in the traditional media space and bring elements of our thinking across into the social media and digital landscape, and visa versa.
Namedrop new accounts that your PR firm has acquired recently…
We have a wealth of top clients including Inoxico, Altech, Toyota, Amadeus, Demographica, Stratus, Karabina and King Price.
List accounts that your PR firm has lost recently…
We have not lost any PR accounts recently.
Are press releases still relevant today with social media breaking news?
Yes as long as they are written correctly (short, concise and to the point whilst linking to social media profiles). They also need to be disseminated correctly (no need to use the ‘spray and pray’ method). We also include other industry news in a press release which allows the journalist reading it to collect information he/she otherwise would have had to research themselves – thus saving them time.
Which social media platform works best for your PR firm and why?
We are active across all the main social media platforms but have found that Twitter is by far the best platform to engage with industry insiders, new staff, media and potential staff. It is quick, relevant and informative and has become the new ‘go to’ news source for savvy consumers.
What industry body is your PR firm affiliated to?
We are currently not affiliated to any industry body
How do prospective clients reach your PR firm?
Clients can contact us via our Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn profiles as well as by email (email@example.com), phone (011 4655709) or via the website. We also love to have people visit our offices for a coffee and a chat.
