Are press releases still relevant today with social media breaking news?
Absolutely, it is still a main driver in distributing accurate, in-depth information, in addition to simultaneously utilising other communication platforms such as social media to target various stakeholders. We also employ full time journalists to write releases that are newsworthy and reflective of our clients’ industries. We also place great emphasis on building relationships with our media contacts to ensure that the releases we compile are of interest to them, their publications, and their readers.
Which social media platform works best for your PR firm and why?
Thus far, our Facebook (www.facebook.com/PRworx) and Twitter pages (@PR_Worx and @DeskBags) have shown great potential and growth. To encourage discussions around certain topics, we also interact regularly on our LinkedIn page. Our blog, www.prthatworx.com is also an ideal platform to share more in-depth news.
