Neethlingshof continues its ‘Medal March’ At Veritas

The winemaking team at Neethlingshof just outside Stellenbosch, in both the vineyards and the cellar, never rest on their laurels and continuously strive for perfection.

Neethlingshof continued its “medal march” at the 2014 Veritas Awards by swelling its trophy cabinet with five gold, two silver and four bronze medals.

Gold medals were awarded to the Neethlingshof 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, the 2014 The Short Story Collection Maria NLH, and the 2009 Gewürztraminer, 2004 Lord Neethling Pinotage and 2009 The Short Story Collection Maria NLH were all awarded gold medals in the Museum Class.

Neethlingshof’s The Six Flowers 2013 took silver at Veritas, as did its 2008 Gewürztraminer, in the Museum Class. Bronze medals were awarded to the winery’s 2014 Gewürztraminer, The Caracal 2012, Malbec 2012 and 2003- Cabernet Sauvignon, which also competed in the Museum Class.

“We are overjoyed with these accolades which again underline our passion for and commitment to our art,” says De Wet Viljoen, manager and cellar master. “It means a lot to us to receive this kind of acknowledgement for all our hard work in both the vineyards and the cellar, especially coming from such an esteemed wine competition.
