Catch Me at My Best is all about celebrating year-round commitment to hospitality at DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town Upper Eastside. From June through to August, guests, managers and peers are encouraged to recognize Team Members who positively impacted their day.

Being one of many reward plans of DoubleTree by Hilton, every little thing they do adds up to create a rewarding experience for their guests (CARE). Their hospitality starts with a warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival and continues through the award-winning Hilton HHonors® guest reward program, the Sweet Dreams® by DoubleTree Sleep Experience and the industry-recognized Culture of CARE. Awards such as a 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is proof that caring for your employers really does make a difference in the hotel tourism industry.

One of the newly recognised programs, Catch Me at My Best is implemented to notice team-members within the DoubleTree by Hilton group, who impacts team morale, performance, retention and key business objectives, it is a simple and free way to empower all employees. Anyone can make a “catch”, including guests, managers and fellow team members.  The idea is to “get caught” and any team member, including managers are in the running.

The “catch-worthy” criteria is entirely up to the individual, however certain traits are encouraged. Any act of hospitality, big or small, that positively impacts guests, teammates, the hotel or the community can lead to a “catch”. This also includes any actions that reflect the brand pillars and company values or behaviours such as attention to detail, cleanliness or helpfulness. Team successes such as, a well-executed conference or number of accident-free days won’t go unnoticed. Ongoing service, all-round dedication and Team Member milestones can also lead to a nomination.

How does Catch Me work?
When a guest, manager or teammate wants to recognize a Team Member, they simply fill out a Catch Me card and turn it in at the front desk. This is revered to as a “catch”. Managers are also encouraged to promote friendly competition and recognize their Catch Me champions.

It is quite evident that caring for their employers is what sets DoubleTree by Hilton apart from the rest in the hospitality industry. Team members who have already been recognised for a “catch” have one thing to say, “Thank you for catching me at my best!”
